Post a brief. Pick what you love. Pay what's fair.
The marketplace where designers compete for your brief, every file is watermarked before you pay, and theft is technically impossible.
“Submitted a watermarked draft in under an hour. Client paid immediately. Zero drama.”
“Finally a platform that protects my work before I hand it over. The fingerprinting alone is worth it.”
“Posted a logo brief on Monday, had five solid watermarked concepts by Wednesday. My deposit counted toward the final price — ended up paying less than I expected.”
“Every brief I submit to has a deposit behind it. I know the client is serious before I spend a single hour on their work.”
From brief to clean file, every step is monitored and protected.
Describe what you want, set a budget range, pick a deadline.
Designers submit watermarked work. Every file is auto-fingerprinted.
Open a monitored chat. Make offers, counter-offer, agree on a price.
Pay the agreed amount. The clean file unlocks instantly.
Whether you're hiring or creating, Briefd has you covered.
Every file is fingerprinted on upload. Every chat is private and logged. Every payment is held in escrow until you choose to release it. Protection is built into every step — not bolted on.
Every file you submit is invisibly tagged. Even if someone screenshots or re-uploads your work, the fingerprint survives — giving you proof of ownership for any DMCA claim.
Clean files only unlock after payment fires. Designers get paid automatically via Stripe Connect. No manual transfers, no disputes.
Any attempt to communicate outside Briefd results in immediate account suspension. This protects designers and clients equally — no chasing, no disputes.
The more you negotiate, the less we take. Clients are never charged a commission — only designers pay, only on closed deals.
Example: a $300 deal costs the designer $30. A $1,000 deal costs $60. Clients pay nothing extra — ever.
When a client posts an open brief, they pay a small upfront deposit:
If the client hires a designer, the deposit is credited toward the final project price. If they don't hire anyone, the deposit is split among the designers whose work they previewed. Either way, designers are always compensated for their time. Either way, clients only pay for value they actually received.
Work Request briefs — where the client selects a designer before work begins — require no deposit. Instead, the agreed fee is locked into escrow before the designer starts, so no speculative work is ever done without guaranteed payment.
If you close a brief without hiring, your deposit is split among the designers whose work you actually previewed — so their time is always compensated. If no one submitted, you receive a full refund minus a small $5 processing fee.
The deposit is a small upfront fee ($15–$60 depending on your budget) that proves to designers you're serious. It filters out fake briefs and guarantees every designer on Briefd that real money is behind every brief they spend time on. If you hire a designer, your deposit is credited toward the final project price — so you effectively get it back.
Yes. Use the negotiation chat to request changes before agreeing on a final price. The designer can submit an updated watermarked version at any point during negotiation.
Logos, brand identities, illustrations, UI mockups, social media assets, packaging, and more. If it's a visual design deliverable, it belongs on Briefd.
Designers connect their Stripe account on signup. When a deal closes and the client confirms receipt of the clean file, the agreed amount minus Briefd's commission is transferred automatically. No manual steps, no chasing invoices.
Briefd charges designers a single transparent commission on deal close — 12% on deals up to $199, 10% on $200–$499, 8% on $500–$999, and 6% on $1,000 and above. Clients are never charged a commission. Ever.
Any attempt to share contact details or request off-platform payment triggers an automatic permanent ban. All messages are monitored in real time.
Every file you submit is automatically watermarked and steganographically fingerprinted on upload. The fingerprint survives cropping, screenshotting, and re-uploads — giving you verifiable proof of ownership for any DMCA claim. Clean files only unlock after payment is confirmed.
A Work Request is a direct hire — the client picks a designer before any work begins, and the full agreed fee is locked into escrow before the designer starts. No speculative work, no deposit system. It is the opposite of an open brief, where multiple designers compete and the client picks their favourite.
